Every Spring, the City of Covington hosts its Clean Up/Fix Up event, in which residents are encouraged to clean and beautify their properties.

On Saturday, April 6, the annual Walk Across Covington, where volunteers gather at the city barn on East Ripley and pick up litter for four hours, will begin at 8 a.m.

The city will give free t-shirts and lunch for those who participate and will be giving door prizes away as well.

City leaders encourage participants to register so they can plan appropriately.

“We want to make sure you have what you need to get the job done – and certainly want to have enough prepared to eat!” said Sara Gangaware.

The city-wide sweep will begin at the Covington Maintenance Facility at 410 East Ripley Avenue.  thing picked up!
